Are you ready for the Hawks to get reacquainted with another well loved former family member? Hello Pat Foley!

The Blackhawks will not be renewing the contract of their television play-by-play announcer, Dan Kelly. ''We have notified Dan he won't be returning as our play-by-play broadcaster,'' said Hawks president John McDonough, who would not comment on whether he intends to approach Foley.

Foley is the play-by-play voice of the Chicago Wolves. The Wolves are in the AHL's version of the Final Four (which interestingly enough, their opponent is the Blackhawk's minor league affiliate the IceHogs). Foley's contract with the Wolves expires after the Wolves playoff run.

''The Blackhawks should go after Pat,'' Wolves owner Don Levin said. ''That would be the smart thing to do.

''He's the best announcer, and he was there 25 years. I think it would be a mistake if they didn't go after him. But I think they're gentleman enough not to do it until after we're done with the playoffs.''
